2013 People’s Choice Awards Dresses

Other than my favorite look of the night in my previous post (Taylor Swift) here are some of the dresses that stood out to me at the 2012 People's Choice Awards.

What was your favorite dress?

Hang in there, Taylor Swift!

Hey Miss Swift,

Breakups are tough but you looked amazing at the 2013 People's Choice Awards. Work it girl! I loved everything about your less modest look in a plunging white Ralph Lauren dress with turquoise earrings. Way to distract the breakup news to a more positive topic!

What did you think about Taylor's look, is she on your best dressed list for the week?

Deep Fried Freckles Goes to the Philippines

Well I didn't physically go, but I was there in spirit with hand lettering and a painting of a cute LuLu girl at the at Hip Pinoy Fair for LuLu Swing. The Hip Pinoy fair aims to bring together holistic, innovative, and passionate Filipinos to promote local ingenuity and creativity.

I feel so lucky to have had Isa Abonal approach me again for another illustration, I think the paintings colors and style make a perfect pair with LuLu Swings adorable new line of shoes in front of them!  Personally, my favorite are the Mustard Minuets, they are just a burst of sunshine.

I hope someday in the future to really travel to the Philippines. It would be a dream to paint all of the beautiful and inspiring things the country has to offer and to stop by the Hip Pinoy Fair of course!

Check out more photos of the Fair and LuLu Swings shoes on their Facebook Page

Joining The crew

So I never thought I would be one to like J Crew. But their 2012 Spring RTW line has me obsessed. I am in love with the refined color palette, amazing fabrics and simple prints.

(Sorry, my dad took the picture)

I wanted to have a whimsical show full of fashion illustrations and water colors. Following this idea, I wanted the show to be full of color. My god mother and mom helped pick out bright frames to match the Illustrations. Over all it was a great turn out and I felt the pieces went well together with fellow artist's Austin Dupree's work, who also works with bright colors and decorative story lines.
